Tremorfa Ltd secured this contract through an open tender process to assist with all general electrical works for the NHS Cardiff and Vale Health Board. This includes the Heath hospital and Llandough hospital.
Tremorfa engineers assist in all electrical maintenance of the hospital to ensure that absolutely everything is running smoothly. Tremorfa are also supporting and heading up some LED upgrades within the Heath with the aim to significantly reduce costs. Tremorfa have also carried out all electrical testing, with reports being raised and remedial works being quoted and completed in accordance with NICEIC requirements. We have a 4 hour-response to reactive calls, including out of hours alongside the out of hours rotas in operation to support the needs of the hospital on an ad-hoc basis.

Longfields Primary School located in Bicester has undergone some expansion since 2013. The school takes children from nursery to eleven years of age, so classrooms need to be multipurpose and multi functional.

Bicester City Council identified the need for expansion of some of the existing schools in the area and Longfields was one of them, this included a completely new block and refurbishment and enlargement of the existing school hall and kitchen.
Tremorfa carried out all electrical works to ensure the project was concluded before term time began, avoiding any disruption to a functional learning environment. The electrical works included:

Mains Distribution System – The new supply was introduced into the new building by others,
Installation of General Purpose Small Power Systems – These consisted of sockets, outlets, spurs, isolators and wiring installed along the ceiling voids.
Installation of General Lighting System – Comprising of surface and recessed modular and LED luminairs, presence detectors and wall switches.
Installation of Power Supplies to Mechanical Plant
Installation of Fire Alarm System – The fire alarm is wired in FP200 gold, consisting of smoke detectors, sounders and manual call points. This is also linked to the main school.
Installation of Disabled Toilet Alarm – Installed a C-tec system to the disabled toilet.
Installation of Security and CCTV System – All new CCTV and security systems and alarm systems have been installed and linked to the main school.
Installation of Network Cabling – Wired in brackets in the ceiling void, wired between rooms and back to the IT hub room in the new building. This is again all linked the main school.
Installation of Lighting Protection – Lightning protection has earth pits located in the ground with copper tape fixed to the building and rods driven down into the earth mass.

Tremorfa completed the works here in August 2017 ready for the start of the new school term, all complying to British Standards to ensure a bright engaging learning environment and a smooth and safe transition for pupils and staff in their new school block.

Grace Care Centre is an ongoing project located in Thornbury, the second of Castleoak’s luxurious care homes in which Tremorfa have been appointed to deliver our full electrical package.

The 70-bed care home is to be completed here to counter act the care gap within Thornbury following Castleoak’s demographic and care provision analysis.
Tremorfa have worked with Castleoak Care Partnerships for a number of years on their fire detection and nurse call systems, and now have expanded to designing, supplying and installing our full electrical package including lighting fixing, emergency lighting, electrical outlets, data and phone lines.
Despite the end user changing in the middle of the project, leading to a huge number of variations, we were able to work with all stakeholders to ensure that the product was delivered successfully, and on time.

Castleoak have recently constructed two new luxury care homes offering nursing and specialist dementia care. Baycroft Great Baddow is located in Chelmsford and is a 64-bed luxury care home.

The facilities included are large lounge areas, dining rooms, an open café in the entrance foyer, quiet room and library, gym and physio room, cinema, hairdresser and nail bar, crafts and activities room with entertainment area. Having already worked on a number of fire alarm and nurse call systems for Castleoak, Chelmsford was our first project in which we delivered the full electrical package.

Tremorfa are provided all electrical services at this project, including lighting fixing, emergency lighting, electrical outlets, data and phone lines. Tremorfa secured the contract through open tender following a long and often intricate design and estimate process. This care home has been designed to the highest of specifications by interior designers, meaning we have faced many challenges in working with new products and suppliers, but have managed to stay on course for a project completed on time and to everyone’s approval. This process has enabled Tremorfa to develop new skills and demonstrate our already adaptive and flexible work ethic.

I would just like to express my satisfaction with your service. Alan, your on-site foreman is a true Site Supervisor and ambassador for Tremorfa, in the way he leads the men on site including direct employed staff, apprentices and sub-contractors. 
I have found that the whole team, from Tremorfa, have always been professional, approachable and helpful. The work that has been done is of an excellent quality and you should be proud of that fact.

Ton Yr Ywen is a primary school located in Heath in Northern Cardiff and was established in 1952.

This was a M&E refurbishment of the kitchen and communal areas that was completed in March 2017. The aim of the project was to:

1) Completely remodelling the serving area so the children have much more space to move around in and the kitchen staff can display the food more effectively.
2) Fitting new flooring, ceiling and energy efficient lights.
3) Redecorating all areas of the kitchen.
4) Fitting new kitchen units and equipment.
Kier Workplaces Services headed up the refurbishment and appointed Tremorfa to carry out all electrical and mechanical works. This included, mains distribution, installation of cables, socket outlets, isolators and fused spur units. Tremorfa also installed LED luminaires, presence detectors and wall switches. Wiring to all the fans within the kitchen were also installed and the fire alarm system extended to the new layout comprising of smoke detectors, sounders and manual call points. The project was ongoing through term time, meaning extra sensitivity was required by all engineers who attended site. Tremorfa ensured all engineers kept to the time frames specified and could minimise disruption to the children’s normal routine as little as possible and get the operational running of the school better than it had been initially.
